We deliver across Oakland County — Troy, Rochester Hills and Novi — through yards inside the county rather than a depot somewhere else. That is what keeps the delivery leg short enough to be worth pricing honestly.
Southeast Michigan sits on the old Lake Maumee bed — heavy clay that holds water and compacts hard. Beds here almost always want compost or a garden blend worked in rather than topsoil alone, and drainage stone earns its keep.
Garden blend and compost for beds, 6A and Class II sand where the clay will not drain.
Southern Michigan yards generally load from early spring through hard freeze. The spring rush runs late April into June and is when lead times stretch; autumn is the quietest, easiest time to get a next-day drop.

Coverage at a glance
We are a broker, not a yard. There is no Bulk Bros counter in Oakland County — your load comes off a local supplier’s scale, and the drive to your address is what sets the delivery line.

Ordering in Metro Detroit
What Oakland County orders, and why.
Garden blend and compost for beds, 6A and Class II sand where the clay will not drain.
Mulch delivery
On clay, keep mulch to about three inches and off the stems. Deeper holds water against the crown, which clay ground does quite enough of on its own.

Soil & Compost delivery
Do not lay topsoil straight onto metro clay. It perches water and drowns roots. Garden blend or compost worked into what is already there does far better.

Stone delivery
Decorative stone over landscape fabric is the low-maintenance answer to beds that stay wet on clay.

Gravel delivery
On metro clay, 21AA alone will pump and rut. A 6A base under the 21AA is the difference between a drive that lasts and one you re-gravel every spring.

Sand delivery
Class II sand under a patio gives the clay somewhere to drain. Mason sand is for the bedding course on top, not the base.

You order from us. A yard down the road loads it.
Bulk Bros is a broker. We do not own trucks or a yard, and we are not claiming to have one in Oakland County. What we do is take the order, find the supplier who can deliver to your address cheapest, and stand behind the job once it is placed — so you deal with us rather than with a yard you never chose.
That is also why coverage grows slowly. 25 towns is a small number next to a national directory, and it is the number of places where a real truck can actually turn up.
